Islay at 7 weeks
Meet Islay (Eye-la) - a dainty 3.8kg and 11 inches. She’s from the same Archenfield lines as our two previous Vizslas, not Yogi's, who is a Wirehaired Vizsla. Seven weeks is considered a little early by some, but Guide Dogs research concluded that puppies who went to their new homes at just over six weeks, completed their training well before those collected at the traditional eight weeks.
She was clearly one of the more forward pups and enjoyed playing with, and ragging, her siblings.
She’s settled in well although we are having to keep her apart from Yogi; he’s well meaning but a bit of an oaf.
